Materials Supervisor in Training - 2nd Shift

Hudsonville, MI
Royal is searching for a Materials Supervisor in Training. The position will be on 2nd shift (4pm - 12am). We are looking for people who have a supervisory background with experience in shipping and receiving. Approximately the first 12 months of this role will consist of training in the various roles and processes before you will independently take on the role of leading your team.  Although this is a 2nd shift position, there may be some training required on 1st shift.

Day to Day Role:
  • Lead a small team in the execution  of outgoing and incoming shipments 
  • Inventory control
  • Continuous improvement 
  • Support bay functions and help where necessary 
  • Ability to understand our systems. Prior ERP knowledge a plus
 
Requirements:
  • Prior Shipping and Receiving experience, including driving a hilo
  • Past supervision experience or strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities
  • Good understanding of material systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Able to multitask under pressure
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Experience with Syteline and the ability to learn new systems (ERP)
  • Good time management skills
  • Flexible to overtime
  • Willing and able to work 45-50 hours per week
