Molding Set Up Technician - 3rd Shift

Our Mold Setters/Set-Up Technicians ensure that we are ready to run production to meet our customers' needs You’ll be helping switch out the  Based out of our Corporate Grove facility in Hudsonville, this position reports directly to the team supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust injection molding machines to achieve optimal production efficiency and quality standards.

  • Assist in performing mold and color changes

  • Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment 

  • Monitor and control the injection molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all aspects of the injection molding process.

  • Document and maintain accurate records of process parameters, maintenance activities, and equipment performance

  • Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for implementation.  

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous technical experience is required (utility, maintenance, process tech, etc.)

  • Experience with injection molding equipment is a plus

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Effective communication (reporting on issues and shortages) 

  • Communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization including operators, supervisors and plant leaders

  • Attention to detail 

  • Work daily with a can-do “servant” attitude

  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide explanation 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks

  • Bending and stooping 

  • Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)

  • Hand-eye coordination

  • All employees must wear approved safety glasses

 Starting Wage: $21.65/hour+ 

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience 

  • Hands-on technical experience is highly desirable

  • Willing and able to work overtime

  • Ability to work 3rd shift (12am-8am)
