Lead Process Technician - 3rd Shift

What You’ll Do

Your future starts here! If you are a mechanically inclined team member who loves getting their hands dirty and working with equipment and people, this is the role for you! We are looking for someone with Process Technician experience that desires to also lead a small team of people. In-house, we call this an Injection Molding Supervisor at Royal and is perfect for someone who likes to be a hands-on/technical leader. Approximately the first 9-12 months of this role will consist of training in the various roles and processes before you will independently take on the role of leading your team. Based out of our Quincy or Corporate Grove facility in Hudsonville, this position reports directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement
  • Schedule staff and create assignments in order to hit daily goals
  • Assist in performing mold and color changes
  • Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customer standards and needs are met
  • Maintain the work area, equipment and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools
  • Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures 
  • Lead a small team in the execution of daily production tasks and in continuous improvement
  • Regularly write and conduct employee performance evaluations

Starting Wage: $21.65+/hr + quarterly bonuses 

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hands-on technical experience, required
  • Prior leadership experience (or strong leadership potential)
  • Willing and able to work 45-50 hours per week
  • Although this is a 3rd shift (12am-8am) position, there may be some training required on 1st shift
