Your future starts here! A Mechatronics Maintenance Tech at Royal is an essential role to keep our manufacturing equipment performing at its best. We are looking for someone who has electrical, mechanical and hydraulic, controls (PLCs), and or robotics experience. If you love getting your hands dirty, troubleshooting and problem solving equipment issues in production- this is the job for you!. Based out of our Cullman, AL facility, this position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Royal is flexible as to what shift this individual works. Training will take place on 1st shift (8am-4pm) for 2-4 months, based on experience. Once trained, you’ll move to 3rd Shift: 12am-8am.
Maintenance & repair of industrial machinery such as hydraulic & electric injection molding machines, gantry & articulating robots, auxiliary/support equipment, along with custom designed assembly equipment.
Understand complex electrical, hydraulic, & mechanical systems such as:
Servo electric drives/motors
Digital & analog control systems
Closed loop proportional controls
Hydraulic pumps, directional control, & logic (cartridge) valves
Ball screws, & precision mechanical control
Understand and application of metrology for precision setup & maintenance
Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography & ultrasonic measurement
Application of education, theory, & mathematics to equipment maintenance
Ability to read electrical, fluid power, & mechanical prints/schematics
Excellent customer service
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Effective communication
Communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization including operators, supervisors and plant leaders
Attention to detail
Work daily with a can-do “servant” attitude
Ability to troubleshoot and provide explanation
Ability to lift up to 35lbs

High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience
3+ years of experience in the maintenance field
Experience working with injection molding, custom automation and PLC programming skills are preferred
Must have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting
Willing and able to work overtime
No Sunday work
Weekly pay
$2.90/hr shift premium
Quarterly bonuses based on profitability
