What You’ll Do
Your future starts here! The
Auditor at Royal is a unique “catch all” position that ultimately supports company success by ensuring perfect products are delivered to our customers. The role is a blend of quality/inspection, “runner”, line lead, material handling and scheduling. We are looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail and has a knack for processes and systems. Based out of our
Quincy facility in Hudsonville, this position reports directly to the team supervisor and supports
2nd shift (4pm-12am) or
3rd shift (12am-8am).
Job Responsibilities
- Perform final audits of finished products by doing dimension checks, First Shot/Last Shot quality checks, Standard Comparisons, DAC checks, etc.
- Supply raw materials and remove finished goods to assembly or molding departments to ensure no downtime
- Schedule and organize work within the department/bay following established priorities
- Print paperwork and labels for each station within the bay, scanning product in and out as needed.
- Escalate non-conformance to standards such as quality issues and/or schedule discrepancies
- Maintain an overall understanding of the how the shop floor is operating at all times and work with the shift supervisor to quickly suggest and make changes when needed
- Understands and documents downtime reasons. Escalate concerns to the supervisor when necessary.
- Completes workcenter changeovers.
- Manage pull requests and proper non-net transactions.
- Support team members by filling in at their stations during operator breaks
- Hi-lo driving is required. Experience not required but willingness to learn if needed
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to make rate (self paced)
- Completion of required production paperwork
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective communication (reporting on issues and shortages)
- Communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization including operators, supervisors and plant leaders
- Attention to detail
- Work daily with a can-do “servant” attitude
- Basic knowledge and ability to work with computers (including scanners)
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide explanation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to hold and operate a hand scanner
- Bending and stooping
- Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)
- Hand-eye coordination
- All employees must wear approved safety glasses
Starting Wage: $19.15/hour + quarterly bonuses
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience
- Willing and able to work overtime
- Ability to work 3rd shift (12am-8am)
