What You’ll Do
Passionate about organization, efficiency and people, Royal Technologies is hiring a
Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager (known internally as the Materials Manager) is responsible for supporting the complete cycle of material flow, from the purchase and internal control of production materials, to the planning and control of WIP, to the warehousing, distribution, and shipping of the finished product. You'll have a team comprised of supervisors, material coordinators and material handlers. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with peers on our manufacturing team and will bring to the table a strategic vision for managing and improving material flow. Based out of our Cullman, AL facility, this position reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees warehouse activities and staff, including shipping, receiving, picking, material movements, etc. Determining appropriate staffing levels to load, unload, move, and store materials
- Coordinate cycle count programs and physical inventories and develop and maintain accuracy of both activities.
- Works in conjunction with customer service, sales, and accounting to resolve issues related to customer orders, invoices, shipping, and stocking agreements
- Uses appropriate business practices to develop the most cost effective and reliable primary vendors and develop appropriate secondary vendor sourcing as necessary to maintain production operations.
- Negotiates best cost utilization of capital expenditures, contracts, and other non-standard items such as rentals and leases.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
- Oversee hilo repairs and returns process
- Maintain timely and accurate entry of customer orders and scheduling requirements within the ERP system. Develop and distribute accurate data reports from ERP related to orders, production, scheduling, scrap, efficiencies, etc. for use by internal management to develop opportunities for continual improvement.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field, preferred
- 5+ years of materials experience
- 5+ years of supervision/management experience
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Knowledge of ERP software (QAD or SAP is ideal)
- Proven track record of effective leadership and management
