What You’ll Do:
Are you a highly motivated and proactive HR professional ready to significantly impact a growing organization? We're seeking a Dynamic and passionate
HR Generalist to join our expanding team, working hand-in-hand with our Site HR Leader to champion an outstanding employee experience. In this role, you'll ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations while fostering a positive workplace by providing comprehensive HR support and actively working to shape a positive and productive workplace culture. Based out of our
Cullman, AL facility, this position reports directly to the Site HR Leader.
Responsibilities:
You'll be at the forefront of our HR efforts, focusing on key areas (listed below) that directly impact our people and our business.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Own both internal and external recruitment process for the Cullman manufacturing facility including job posting, reviewing applications, screening candidates, scheduling follow-up interviews, extending offers and tracking pre-employment steps (drug screen/physical, background check, etc.).
- Partner closely with leaders to assess staffing needs and re-prioritize needs weekly.
- Collaborate with our corporate recruitment team to align on best practices, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience that drives long-term employee retention.
- Lead our bi-weekly site orientation program, overseeing benefits enrollment, enabling employee On-the-Job Training (OJT) readiness, and following up to ensure a smooth transition that supports dedicated tenure.
HR Administration & Employee Support
- Be the go-to for employee questions, Serving as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and HRIS administration and procedures, providing clear and timely guidance.
- Support critical HR processes and operations by assisting with compliance related to employment laws and company policies; engaging directly with leaders to ensure the consistent application of key employee practices, including performance review completion, accurate pay practice administration, certification renewals, as well as essential training initiatives.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of HR initiatives that drive engagement, compliance, and performance.
- Reports, initiates and tracks employee workers compensation claims.
- Perform additional HR duties aligned with departmental goals.
Site Engagement, Communications and Problem Solving
- Work directly with the HR Leader, collaborating on key initiatives and events that support continuous workplace improvement efforts that elevate our employee experience including organizing employee engagement events, wellness programs and recognition events.
- Manage our site's communication and engagement cadence, fostering robust two-way communication and nurturing a vibrant, positive site culture.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management, or related field is highly preferred
- 3-5+ years working in a variety of comprehensive Human Resources roles.
- Experience supporting a variety of roles within manufacturing, including hourly manufacturing, quality, materials, engineering and plant leadership is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems, effectively influence, and lead projects with independence, continuously improving, managing conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team player, who engages with transparency, is confident yet humble in their effort to continuously learn from experiences as they work with leaders and thrive as a trusted employee advocate.
- Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications. Current systems utilized are:
- HRIS: UKG
- ATS: CATS
- Software platform: Google Suite
