What You’ll Do

Passionate about helping an organization win with their people and in the marketplace?Join Royal’s HR Team as an HR Generalist. This role is uniquely scoped to own portions of benefits and recruitment, alongside other projects and duties within our greater HR team. We are looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail, high degree of ownership, and is eager to be a culture carrier of Royal via their customer service skills. Based out of our Royal Center Corporate facility in Hudsonville, MI, this position reports to the Compensation, Benefits and HR Compliance Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of Royal’s employee benefit programs, including new hire onboarding, annual open enrollment, ongoing program education, and team member questions. 
  • Handle leave administration & accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and best practice documentation.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition lead to support full life cycle hourly recruitment, reviewing applications, interviewing, engaging leadership on hiring decisions, extending offers, and leadership of employee onboarding.
  • Serve as the lead within a team that enables a cadence of activities that brings our employees together to broaden community within and beyond our organization.
  • Flex support to projects and various HR continuous improvement efforts as part of the broader HR team.
 

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 years HR benefits and recruitment experience, required
  • Bachelors in Business, HR, or related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related federal and state regulations
  • Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and customer service mindset
  • Ability to travel within the US - likely not more than 2 times per year
