Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team in the execution of daily production tasks and in continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement
- Schedule staff and create assignments in order to hit daily goals
- Regularly write and conduct employee performance evaluations
- Assist in performing mold and color changes
- Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customer standards and needs are met
- Maintain the work area, equipment and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools
- Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Understanding of Royal’s quality systems
- Must be willing to be a safety coordinator (or be a current safety coordinator)
- Good time management skills and able to multitask several projects under pressure
- Excellent attendance record and flexible to overtime
- Experience with implementing/maintaining 5S
- Experience with implementing a Continuous Improvement Project with tangible results
- Experience with Syteline is a plus
- Current supervision experience is required (or Royal University completion)
- Experience using Google G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office is a plus
- Must be willing to support different shifts as needed
- Hilo license is required and must be willing to support material handling functions
