As a Bay Buddy, you will play a key role in welcoming and developing our new employees in your bays. You will provide on-the-job mentoring to assist in reinforcing safety and quality standards, helping to ensure new team members gain confidence and proficiency to meet Royal standards. 

Note: As a Molding Bay Buddy, you will receive an additional $0.25/hr to your Molding Operator pay. When training assistance isn’t needed, you will function as a traditional Molding Operator

What You'll Do

• Provide hands-on instruction in machinery operation, safety protocols, and production processes.
• Monitor trainee progress; provide real time constructive feedback to trainees and document on provided buddycards.  
• Reinforce company culture, values and expectations 
• Maintain communication with trainer and supervisor on employee performance and progress.

 

What You Bring

• A minimum of six months at Royal.
• No written warnings within the last 6 months and no unacceptable scores on last evaluation
• Recommended by your Supervisor and Production Manager
• Bay Buddies are a representation of Royals values: Teamwork, Hardwork, Excellence. They must possess patience, enthusiasm and a team-first mindset when engaging with team members. 
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
• Selection of this role will not be based on seniority – it will be based on qualifications and fit to the key characteristics (likely using the interview process)
