What You’ll Do
The
Operations Capacity Planner manages the development of long range delivery requirements, equipment plans and capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives over the next 5 years. This individual is a liaison between demand planning and operations with regards to turning pieces and sales volumes into human and machine hours required to meet the customers and Royal's requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Forecasts future Equipment, Floor space, Labor and warehouse needs. Assists in Capital Requests.
- Partners with plant manufacturing operations for planning capacity and fulfillment demand
- Facilitates with manufacturing managers and implements monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
- Developing and implementing of supply chain network planing, material planning and capacity planning optimization (Processes / People / Systems)
Characteristics:
- Be energetic, self-starting, with a robust work ethic
- Possess strong Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Planning Systems knowledge
- Have excellent math, analytic, and computer skills. Capable of spreadsheet data analysis and willing and able to learn to use more advanced data analysis
- Be someone who enjoys solving problems in a team-based environment
- Be a quick learner that can understand and integrate business processes and flows with the actual manufacturing and logistics processes
- Have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to grasp, visualize, simplify, and communicate complex processes
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years data analyst experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong experience with Google suites platform or MS Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Experience with data mining and subsequent analytics using Data Studio or other BI tools like Excel PowerPivot, MS Power BI or Tableau required
- Previous experience working within ERP systems is ideal but not required.
- Understanding and communicating trends so we can do accurate financial and capacity planning.
- Understanding key performance indicators, roles and responsibilities and tools that support plants and operations planning
