SI-OGP - 1st Shift, Corporate Grove

Interested in joining the SI team? Corporate Grove is seeking a detail-oriented SI-OGP Inspector to join our 1st shift Quality SI Team.  In this role, you will play a critical part in quality control by collecting, inspecting, and testing parts daily.  You will split your time evenly between precision technical testing and parts inspection in SI.  Check out the description below and ask your supervisor, production manager, or HR if you have any questions. 
 

Please Note: Due to the unique elements of this position, we will interview for this role.

 
Day-to-Day Role:
  • Daily parts testing - Collecting and testing parts, spending approximately half of your day on testing procedures.
  • Parts inspection -  Dedicate the remaining half of your day to inspecting parts to Secondary Inspection Instructions and VRS
  • Equipment care - Set up, cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of OGP and DynoLite equipment to ensure precision
  • Data management - Record all testing and inspection results accurately into our electronic database.
  • Initial troubleshooting - Investigation out-of-spec results before reporting them (e.g., re-running the part, testing in a different cavity spot, or running a golden part)
  • Technical communication - Locating technical drawings and clearly communicating specific out-of-spec points to the bay when necessary
  • Break coverage - covering breaks/absenteeism in bays as needed
  • Performing first-shot/last-shot checks
  • Working in a team environment
 
Requirements:
  • Database proficiency - Demonstrated proficiency in recording and managing data within electronic databases
  • Technical reading - Ability to read, interpret, and locate specific points on technical engineering drawings
  • Analytical thinking - Strong troubleshooting skills to investigate data anomalies and verify equipment accuracy
  • Attention to detail - High precision in handling delicate testing equipment and identifying minor part defects
  • Time Management - Proven ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to balance daily testing and SI inspection duties
  • Dependability - Proven history of good attendance and punctuality is required to support the overall production team
  • Must pass inspection test (after SI training) in addition to color acuity test
  • Knowledge and understanding of our non-conforming process (quality hold pull process, reaction plan requirements)
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, clip gauges and pin gauges
  • Proficient in Google Products Excel (Google Sheets), Gmail, Word (Google Docs)
  • Accountability for inventory accuracy 
  • Operating with a sense of urgency 
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (email)
  • Ability to support Saturday OGP coverage
