The Program Manager is the team member of the project team responsible for leading the team through the launch process of defining, planning, and controlling the project.
  • Procure and document key information to establish a project charter which clearly defines project goals, scope, and responsibilities for the project.
  • Develop, track, and update project timelines.
  • Drive team member assignment, ownership, and completion of project launch tasks per the established project timeline to meet customer objectives.
  • Lead internal project open issues meetings to maintain project timing and resolve open issues. Provide technical guidance as required.
  • Act as primary point of contact for customer communication.
  • Support customer project open issues meetings to maintain project timing and resolve open issues – elevate gaps to project goals to customer and Royal leadership while driving resolution.
  • Oversee APQP / PPAP / PSO development to meet customer objectives.
  • Oversee Royal sampling activities to meet MRD milestones for customer pilot build events.
  • Lead reporting of project status to Royal leadership including leading project tollgate reviews.
  • Proactively identify project risks and provide reaction / recovery plans to mitigate impact to the project.
  • Support continuous improvement CIP cost reduction activities for the life of the project.
  • Achieve cost, timing, and quality goals associated with the project launch.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Program Management experience within the Automotive Industry preferred
  • Plastic Injection Molding experience required/knowledge of plastic part design principles
