Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing a three-shift, 24/6 maintenance team

  • Driving department strategy and performance metrics

  • Mentoring maintenance technicians and implementing personal development plans

  • Working with outside vendors for service and warranty repairs

  • Using a CMMS for work orders, inventory, preventive/predictive maintenance, and reporting

  • Managing the maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electric injection molding machines, gantry and articulating robots, auxiliary/support equipment, and custom automated assembly equipment

  • Understanding complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems such as:

    • Servo electric drives/motors

    • Digital and analog control systems

    • Closed loop proportional controls

    • Hydraulic pumps, directional control, and logic (cartridge) valves

    • Ball screws, and precision mechanical control

  • Reading electrical, fluid power, and mechanical prints/schematics

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Understanding and application of metrology for precision setup and maintenance

  • Understanding of predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography and ultrasonic measurement

  • Application of education, theory, and mathematics to equipment maintenance

  • Commitment to the team

  • Excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Experience with injection molding equipment maintenance (minimum of 3 years preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years supervision/management in the maintenance field (more experience preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with MS Office products or Google Workspace

  • Preferred experience with custom automation, PLC programming skills, and IBM Maximo software
